Alnclair Golden Retrievers

Our Boys from the Past

Norjean Mardi Gras

Photo taken at 11 years of age.

Our first Golden - if titles were given for temperaments Marde would be
the GRANDEST of Grand Champions.

As mentioned elsewhere on our web site, we bought Marde to reproduce the wonderful temperament we had from a cross-bred dog - our first family "child" Reba.  All who knew Marde (even right up until the day before he went to the "Rainbow Bridge") commented about what a lovely natured boy he was.  The night we had to have him put to sleep there was the most awful storm which we took to be a sign of how sad we were to finally lose our lovely boy. Dear Marde, your example of great temperament lives on in the yard and keeps us totally involved in Goldens.

Louis has been living with John & Janelle Polley & their daughters since February 1997 where he was absolutely loved to pieces.   Sadly Lou had to be put to sleep following a stroke just short of his 14th birthday.  Louis is buried here at "Alnclair" near most of his early pack members, and is greatly missed by the Polley family.

Date of Birth: 29 April 2001 - 27 January 2004 - sadly taken far too early
Hip Score: Not tested Elbow Score:  Not tested

Sire: Ch Alnclair Olympic Gym (ai) Dam: BISS Grand Ch Alnclair Maggie May

Hank was owned, shown and loved by Alana Coleman in South Australia.  Hank has his "Canine Caring Companion Certificate" and was Reserve Finalist in the "Geoff Whiteman Top Parade and Open Show Dog of the Year 2003."  Alana had  plenty of fun showing Hank and he was only 4 points away from his Australian Championship title when he was tragically diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer which took his young life in a matter of weeks.  We are nevertheless very proud to have bred a Golden Retriever who gave so much love and enjoyment to his owners.
REST IN PEACE darling Hank from all at Alnclair.

An energetic young man, Johnny won several Class in Group awards from his first few outings.  He is pictured above having won Opposite Sex Minor in Show at the Queensland Golden Retriever Club in September 2003 - note my vice-like grip on him.  Dogs that leave us always fall on their feet - Johnny is now living the "Life of Riley" with the very loving Fitzherbert family in Sydney.

Bobby is an absolute delight to live with - we called him our "best male brood bitch" as he is just SO gentle with all the younger ones.  When Jimi died suddenly in 2005, Bobby went to live with Milton and his family to cheer them up a little.  Bobby is well and truly spoiled now, and is happy to relax and let his children Aimée and Jasper run around the show rings.
